UL 61730
US safety standard for solar modules; harmonized with IEC 61730.
Detailed Explanation
UL 61730 replaced the older UL 1703 standard in 2016, aligning US module safety requirements with the international IEC 61730 standard. Required for all solar installations in the United States. Certification is performed by UL (Underwriters Laboratories), CSA, Intertek (ETL mark), or MET Labs. US installations also require NEC (National Electrical Code) compliance for BOS components.
